My friend Taka came to see me yesterday. Taka is a japanese flamenco singer. I am going to collaborating on his first album, which he is now preparing. He has been working flamenco-tast song of his which, after two days of hard work, it torning out great.

We had dinner with Mauricio, Gema, and Mauricio Jr. last night.

We talked and talked about music and I had a great time.

We went to Mauricio's house afterwards and talked until early morning...

Concert in Tunisia

This is a very important jazz festival in Tunisia. Performers and musicians from the world over perform every night for nearly 10 days.

The venue, which seats over 1000 people, was full to overflowing and this is a great audience.

I have created an Album of Tunisia at "CAÑI ALBUM".

I travelled to Tunisia today.

I will be performing at the Carthage Jazz Festival tomorrow.

This is the first time I've been here, so as soon as I have some free time I'm going to take a walk around the place.

I attended the "Suma Flamenca 2008" Festival press conference today. I will be closing the festival on June 16 in "Bellas Artes" with "Iberia Flamenco".

At the end of the press conference, the Madrid regional Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Santiago Fixas, presented me with the misic prize for my abum "Suite Iberia - Albéniz por Cañizares". As I wasn't able to attend the award ceremony in Valladolid, because I was performing in Sevlille, this was the first time I actually was the trophy.

My latest album "Suite Iberia - Albéniz por Cañizares" was nominated in the "Best Classical Music Performer" category in the 12 th edition of the Music Awards. 

The award ceremony took place yesterday in Valladolid, and my album WON the award!

This award means a great deal to me, as I believe that this is a case of brotherhood between classical and flamenco music. I would like to thank everyone without whom this project would not have been possible.

I performed in Seville today, in Fernando Romero's show.

It had been a long time since I had seen Mtro. Paco Peña, who was there today.

In this show, we played "Rondeña" by Ramón Montoya together, a special arrangement I created for "Caprichos" of Ballet Nacional de España with choreography by Fernando Romero.

I have created an Album about SEVILLE en "CAÑI ALBUM".
